Cynthia Rudolph

Cindy Rudolph has been involved in art as long as she can remember. Growing up in western New York State, art was always her favorite subject in school from day one. She attended the University of Denver where she graduated with a BFA in Advertising Design. While working as a graphic artist and illustrator, she added the art of calligraphy to her offerings. Cindy enjoyed teaching calligraphy  in the adult ed evening programs of the Westwood and Norwood Public Schools.

For over 20 years, she was on the fulltime staff at Morrill Memorial Library, where graphic design and calligraphy were a significant part of her job. For example, she hand-lettered hundreds of posters promoting library programming that were visible throughout the library.

Now retired from the library, she continues to work in pastel, watercolor, mixed media, calligraphic art and whatever else inspires her. She also enjoys sending her original greeting cards and envelopes.

A longtime member and a past-president of NAA, Cindy received Best of Show at Art in the Park in 2019 and in 2002 for her calligraphic rendition of the Twin Towers on 9/11. She has shown her work in many group and solo exhibits and is constantly inspired by other artists.
